Section 1: Attentional


Week One: 3/1-3/4

The weeks exploration: 
1. Sit daily and simply enjoying yourself.

Week Two: 3/5- 3/11

The weeks exploration: 
1. Read TMI - pg 19-39 (Objectives of Meditation)
2. 3 mins a day of enjoying yourself
3. 3 mins - 1 hr a day of meditation

Class:
1. 1. ​​Setting up a daily practice
2. Develop a new skill and working with not wanting to practice. (Tibetan for reluctance = Le-lo)

Week Three: 3/12 - 3/18

The weeks exploration: 
1.  Read TMI - pg 1-17 (10 Stages Overview)
​2.  3 mins a day of enjoying yourself
3.  3 mins - 1 hr a day of meditation 

Class:
1. 3 Marks of Existence and Renunciation
2. Attention and Awareness
3. Extrospective and Introspective Practice 


​week four: 3/19 - 3/25

The weeks exploration: 
1. Read TMI - pg 113-120 (How Mindfulness Works)
​2.  3 mins a day of enjoying yourself
3.  3 mins - 1 hr a day of meditation 
4. Begin to notice ratios of introspective and extrospective mindlessness.

Class:
1. A special class on techniques for thriving in social isolation.
2. An orienting to the Zoom platform
3. A little more on the Three Marks.
4. Review of topics covered so far.
​5. The importance of intention  

Section 2: Cultivating


​Week Five: 3/26 - 4/1

The weeks exploration:  ​
1. Read Shaila Catherine link below (11 Supports of Practice)
2. Visit the Vow Museum and spend a little time exploring
​3. ​Write a list of 3-5 things you would like to focus on this year inspired by ideas in the Vow Museum 

Class:
1. ​How does concentration relate to ethics
2. You cannot develop intimacy with how you want something to be you can only develop intimacy with how something actually is.
3. The idea that compassion is not an emotion but rather a non-deluded mental state

Week Six: 4/2 - 4/8

The weeks exploration: 
1. Read TMI - pg 369-374 (Loving Kindness)
2. Watch Gil Fronsdal: Forms of Awareness
3. Try and do an x-day! Click this for link
4. Go to bed appreciating your own efforts. Wake up appreciating the efforts of someone else.

Class:
1. Review of the 11 supports of practice
2. The simplicity of practice, of learning the new skill of meditation (not meaning its easy, it is not easy)
   a) Make contact with the object of choice
   b) Return from distractions without opinions or evaluation, return with equanimity
   c) Be present for the unfolding of the reality of the present without interference
