Course Info:
In this course we will apply the crucible model to the practice of meditation with the aim of moving toward greater states of wholeness. The model and techniques presented during this six week course are also applicable to your job, relationship, and other aspect of your life and your world.
This training is designed for people who are fully committed to deepening their practice and presence in this precious and quickly passing life.
Topics we will cover are:
*The two keys to prevent stagnating in our meditation
* A deep exploration into the 5 essential ingredients that make our practice transformative.
* Personal accountability to help us build and sustain momentum.
* A tool box of meditation and mindfulness exercises to incorporate into daily life.
* Working as a group to openly explore and learn from one another.
* Individualized support from instructors.

Sunday Sept 27th - Day long introductory intensive (11am- 6pm EST) This is NOT all on-line. The Sunday intensive will be partially on-line and partially at home practices off-line, with on-line debriefs.

Instructors:
Will Duncan has taught throughout the world including Asia, Europe, Eastern Europe, South America and throughout the United States. He is a lecturer, meditation teacher, retreat leader, and lavender farmer. At the age of 14 he met his heart-teacher, Murray Rogers, and began a 23 year apprenticeship with him studying the world’s scriptural traditions as well as a systematic approach to meditation. Known for his down-to-earth humor and ease, Will teaches by way of inquiry and lively discussion pushing students to think clearly for themselves and to uncover their own insights. He has completed over 40 months of solitary meditation and has studied with some of the great Buddhist, Christian, and Yogic masters of our time.

Matthew Immergut, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Purchase College, SUNY with an expertise in the sociology of religion. He is also the author of The Mind Illuminated: A Complete Meditation Guide Integrating Buddhist Wisdom and Brain Science for Greater Mindfulness (https://rb.gy/pzjjy8). Matthew, a dynamic teacher who has been teaching for over 15 years, brings together his years of contemplative practice, scholarship, and life experience. He lives with his wife, Elizabeth and his dog Blue in Woodstock, NY
