Topics:

You Are Here –A basic very non-dogmatic overview of Buddhist thought in the different traditions. While we will lean a little more heavily on the Mahayana tradition we will also delve into the depth, wisdom, and beauty of the other different schools of Buddhism.
Maps of the Subtle Body - An introduction to the subtle body theory shared by both the Buddhist and Yoga lineages. What the traditions have to say about the cycles of pranic movement and how to begin experimenting with that. Through this exploration we will begin to develop a unique relationship with our subtle body.
Ethics – Why ethics and morality is sexier than you thought and how to leverage them for robust hedonism (or would it be eudemonia? We will debate and discuss it.)
Dependent Origination - Approaching the profundity and centrality of Dependent Origination and specifically how to take those teachings into our real life trials and stressors.

Two Truth Doctrine - A classical exploration of the Two Truth Doctrine and an extrapolation of that idea as a type of template in which we can begin to balance and regulate our lives.
Cosmology and Karma – In a world saturated with new age ideas about karma we take a deep dive into the classical definitions and descriptions of karmic cause and effect as well as how it relates to both a literal and metaphorical approach to Buddhist cosmology.
Death and Dying – A look at how to be with death and dying, both our own as well as our loved ones.
Emptiness – Exploring some of the different schools understanding of emptiness as well as some of the rigorous logical proofs of emptiness taught over the last 2000 years.
